We hope everyone had an enjoyable and safe year-end break. Leave Liability Report – Quarterly Review

  To: Management Council, Chief Human Resource Officers, and Agency TLAM Contacts From: Shared Services Center Area:  HR Operations: TLAM Reason: Leave Liability Report – Quarterly Review Date: January 16, 2023 Effective Fiscal Year 2023, the Leave Liability Report will now be posted to your agency’s  college folder  on the VCCS SharePoint site on a quarterly basis. This second quarterly report has been posted and was run using the 12/24 EN1 Calendar Group. Reviewing these reports quarterly will aid in identifying irregularities in employee benefit service dates within HCM. Incorrect calculations of the benefits service date will result in wrong accrual rates. Please check your reports carefully and correct any discrepancies in HCM. Please note that the calculations within the report are based on the FY2022 year-end employee distribution percentages provided by DOA to finalize FY2022. 2023 Calendar in HCM

The SSC and System Office ITS are working together to resolve this as quickly as possible as we understand that year-end processes need to be completed by each college. Onboarding W4 Form Resolved

  To:   Management Council Members, CHROs, and Hire to Retire Contacts From:   Shared Services Center Area:   HR Operations: Hire to Retire Reason:   Onboarding W4 Form Resolved Date:   January 11, 2023 As many of you may be aware, we have had several new hires who have been unable to access and complete the Federal W-4 in Avature over the past week and we have been managing the collection of this form manually.   The Avature Tech Support developer team has identified the cause and will release an instance fix overnight. When the fix is applied, we anticipate that new hires will be able to access and complete the form as expected. If you encounter any difficulties with this, please contact the  onboarding@ssc.vccs.edu  email box and copy your SSC Human Resources Technician for assistance. Thank you for your patience!

Customer Engagement Hours Effective 1/3/23

  To:   All From:   Shared Services Center Area:   Customer Engagement Reason:   SSC Customer Engagement Hours Date:   January 3, 2023 As of today, January 3, 2023, the SSC Customer Engagement hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. This change was approved by the Management Council and allows for additional coverage during core contact hours.
